Watch Brian Hall completely destroy Google. Seriously. It’s epic (and he’s right).
Oh snap.

Cookbookin'
Something I’ve really been enjoying recently is reading cookbooks. This enjoyment stems from two aspects of my life: 1) I’m done lying to myself about the possibility of reading real books, and with cookbooks you can flip open any page and know exactly what’s happening. 2) I do all of the cooking at our house. This is something that I enjoy, but I’m really interested in...

Making a playlist of some top "feel good" songs
I need to make that “feel good” distinction because there’s a lot of really good wrist-slitting music out there and there’s nothing you need less in the last days of winter. Well, ok, there’s one Elliott Smith song so maybe I lie. ANYWAY…
I have been rediscovering a lot of music I used to love and what an awesome feeling that is. It’s amazing to go back...

Tonight I braved “snowmageddon” to trek to Walgreens in my giant poofy coat to get magazines, beer, nail polish and candy. I think the check-out guy thought I was going to have some lonely chick night, but nope. Sitting next to ‘ole D while he plays video games, I paint my nails and torrent Daria episodes, and we both laugh at the cats. It’s a rough life, I tell you.

Halfway point
Well, I’m midway through my week-long break and things are just marvelous. This morning I spent some time catching up on work emails and made giant blueberry pancakes.
This week has turned out to be quite productive in terms of my life outside work and I think I’ll be prepared to attack 2011 on Monday. In addition to the family holiday festivities I have cleaned and organized the...

Two and half more days of work and I’m off until after the new year. I’m excited to have a full 11 days off of work, and I’m not really sure what I’m going to do with all that spare time. Dustin and I will both be off work together, so I imagine we will spend most of our time melting our brains in front of our sweet new television.
Yesterday my dad told me he feels like...

bajillionhits:
Christmas can be pretty exhausting, which is why I can’t believe yet another holiday season is upon us and STILL no one has thought to create Egg Nog Energy Drinks. I think there’s a huge missed market opportunity here.
I’m too busy winning The Whole Internet™ to create these high-powered seasonal treats myself, but in the spirit of holiday giving, here are 15 brand name ideas I...

Every update, every tweet, every check-in, ultimately began to feel not unlike doing my expenses. The experience isn’t unusual. I think old people like me (I’m 38) often do this stuff to feel like the world hasn’t yet left them behind, but we don’t have any natural hunger for it. It’s kind of like androids having sex: We know we’re supposed to do it, but we’re not really sure why....
